propietats saludables associades al consum d&#8217;oli d&#8217;oliva verge extra han estat dos dels temes que s&#8217;han exposat a la reuni\u00f3 anual d&#8217;inscrits de la Denominaci\u00f3 d&#8217;Origen Oli de Mallorca que ha tingut lloc aquest el 14 de mar\u00e7 a Algaida.<\/p>\n<p>A la cita, a la qual hi ha assistit el director general de Qualitat Agroaliment\u00e0ria i Producte Local, Joan Llabr\u00e9s, el consell regulador ha volgut fer valdre la feina feta pels investigadors Miquel Fiol i Carme Garau, com tamb\u00e9 a Treurer per les distincions obtingudes l&#8217;any 2025 i a l&#8217;Antoni Calafell en el seu vessant com a jove agricultor, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 com a investigador.<\/p>\n<p>Calafell ha estat precisament l&#8217;encarregat d&#8217;oferir als que han participat en la jornada algunes de les conclusions del treball de prospecci\u00f3 que realitza per localitzar i identificar varietats locals d&#8217;olivera a l&#8217;illa.<\/p>\n<p>Per la seva banda, el doctor\u00a0<strong>Miquel Fiol\u00a0<\/strong>qui, d&#8217;entre d&#8217;altres forma part del grup d&#8217;investigaci\u00f3 NUTRECOR de l&#8217;IdISBa, ha exposat les noves evid\u00e8ncies que ha desvetllat l&#8217;estudi d&#8217;\u00e0mbit estatal al qual ha participat (resultats del qual ha publicat la revista\u00a0<em>American Heart Journal<\/em>) i del que es pot extreure que\u00a0<strong>un consum elevat d&#8217;oli d&#8217;oliva verge extra es podria associar a una reducci\u00f3 del risc cardiovascular<\/strong>, la qual cosa el diferencia de l&#8217;oli d&#8217;oliva com\u00fa, que no hauria mostrat associacions beneficioses significatives, amb tota probabilitat per no comptar amb tants polifenols i altres agents bioactius que si estan presents al verge extra.<\/p>\n<p>Per aquest treball, com tamb\u00e9 pel desenvolupat com a investigador principal a les Illes Balears del projecte estatal PREDIMED han contribu\u00eft a ampliar el coneixement vers les propietats saludables de l&#8217;oli d&#8217;oliva verge extra; per aix\u00f2, el consell regulador ha volgut que el doctor Miquel Fiol fos una de les persones a recon\u00e8ixer per la seva tasca juntament amb la<strong>\u00a0Carme Garau<\/strong>, cap de Producci\u00f3 Vegetal de l&#8217;Institut de Recerca i Formaci\u00f3 Agroaliment\u00e0ria i Pesquera de les Illes Balears i l&#8217;olivicultor Antoni Calafell.<\/p>\n<p>El segell de qualitat tampoc ha volgut perdre l&#8217;ocasi\u00f3 de donar valor a la visibilitat que representa per al distintiu la pres\u00e8ncia de les marques emparades a competicions internacionals, d&#8217;aqu\u00ed que hagi reconegut tamb\u00e9 a\u00a0<strong>Treurer\u00a0<\/strong>despr\u00e9s d&#8217;haver obtingut la medalla d&#8217;or a la New York International Olive Oil Competition, Olive Japan International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition, Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition, London International Olive Oil
